This chamberstick candle holder has a charming, organic silhouette with a gently undulating plate base and a tall, flared candle cup. Hand-built in stoneware and coated in black slip, the entire surface is carved using the sgraffito technique to reveal delicate blooms, trailing stems, and tiny botanical details. Vertical linework along the candle cup adds texture and movement, giving the piece a beautifully cohesive style.
A glossy clear glaze enhances the contrast between the deep black slip and the pale clay beneath, while also giving the soft, wavy base a subtle reflective finish. The candle opening is gently tapered to securely hold standard taper candles.
