Hi, I’m Lana Mellis — a ceramic artist working under the Florida sun, often with my daughter beside me. Creating together keeps me connected to the joy, wonder, and presence that first drew me to clay.

I’m especially drawn to wheel throwing and sgraffito carving, where each line becomes a quiet meditation. My work is shaped by motherhood, womanhood, and the natural world — especially the ocean, whose colors and calm always find their way into my pieces.

Pottery is my practice of slowing down and noticing beauty. Each vessel holds a moment of that stillness: a reminder to breathe, savor, and enjoy the small rituals that make up our days.

Whether it’s a mug for your morning coffee or a vase that catches the afternoon light, my hope is that my work brings a sense of calm, creativity, and connection into your home.
