This chamberstick-style candle holder features a soft, organic plate base, shaped entirely by hand. Coated in black slip and carved using the sgraffito technique, the surface is decorated with large, expressive flowers and delicate leaves that wrap around the form. Each line is carved individually, giving the piece a warm, hand-illustrated feel.
The tall candle cup rises from the center with a graceful, slightly flared silhouette. A glossy clear glaze covers the entire piece, enhancing the contrast between the deep black slip and the pale clay revealed beneath.
The candle opening is gently tapered to securely hold standard taper candles.
